NAMI Hawaii is grateful to promote “Dealing With Dad,” a film directed/written/produced by Tom Huang. The film is based on Huang’s lived experience with his father’s depression and explores the complex dynamics of an Asian-American family that struggles with communication, expectations, and acceptance of mental health symptoms.
 
“Dealing With Dad” makes its commercial debut in Hawai’i during the week of May 5 – 11 at Ward Consolidated Theaters. Tickets are on sale at Consolidated Theaters.

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawai’i is also holding a sponsored showing and fundraiser for NAMI Hawai’i at Ward Consolidated Theaters. To purchase tickets for this special showing on May 7th at 3:00p, contact Sonny Zhang.
